You see what's next
We help you build it

We invest early in startups from anywhere in the Americas, in a market where most capital chases a handful of mega-rounds. We work with the founder and the team every week, on strategy, product, and the search for product-market fit.

Luty Capital, INC. backs founders at pre-seed and seed stage, once there's an early signal the market wants what they're building. We stay in for later rounds when a company's growth justifies it. What we bring beyond the check: sector expertise, a Silicon Valley network, and a weekly working relationship with the founder and the operating team.

Our mission

We look for people who see a problem differently and follow through on it. Our work is to help them get what a startup needs to grow: knowledge, people, and capital, so the company they build makes the world better.

Investment thesis

What we look for

We invest once a founder has an early, real signal that the market agrees with them: a working prototype in someone's hands, a user who keeps coming back, a first sale. We do not invest on an idea alone. At pre-seed stage, we look for a founder who understands a problem in a way others have missed, and who has already moved past describing that problem to proving it.

We also look at how a team builds. A small team shipping product with agentic AI is a different company than one that talks about AI without building with it. We check that difference before we invest.

We ask three questions before we invest

  1. Does this founder see the problem differently than the last ten people who tried to solve it?
  2. Has the team already tested that difference against something real: a user, a prototype, a first sale?
  3. Does the founder keep working through the setbacks that come with an early-stage company?

We invest at pre-seed and seed stage. When a company's growth justifies it, we stay in for later rounds instead of stepping aside.

Here is what that looks like in practice, stage by stage.

What we look for, by stage

Pre-Seed, Proving the Vision

At pre-seed, most companies have little or no revenue yet, so we look for signal instead of spreadsheets:

  • Team: A founding team with complementary skills, able to bring on the first hires a young company needs.
  • Market: Large enough to support a venture-scale outcome.
  • Demand: Waitlists, letters of intent, or pilots that show people want this, beyond a working prototype.
  • Traction: Early retention, direct user feedback, and how many pilot users convert to paying customers.
  • Runway: 12 to 18 months of disciplined spending.

Seed, Proving the Model

By seed, the company should have enough data to make its own case:

  • Growth: Recurring revenue that compounds month over month, not a single strong quarter.
  • Retention: Usage that holds or grows over time, with customers referring others on their own.
  • Efficiency: Customer acquisition cost the business can recover within a reasonable window, against a lifetime value that clears it by a real margin.
  • Quality: We weigh a small base of customers who keep paying over a larger number who tried the product once.

The inflection point

Pre-seed is the moment demand stops being something the founder claims and becomes something a stranger proves, by paying, committing, or coming back without being asked.

Seed is the moment growth and retention start compounding together, turning "people want this" into a model the company can repeat.

Where we invest

Seven sectors, one way of working

We focus where our team has direct operating experience, so the support we offer past the check is specific to the problem a founder is solving.

01

Enterprise

We back founders building software that changes how companies run their operations, and we work with them on go-to-market and early enterprise sales.

02

Health

We invest in teams building new models of care, diagnostics, and health infrastructure, with attention to the regulatory path each company has to walk.

03

Longevity

We back science-driven founders working on healthy lifespan extension, from early research-stage companies to those closer to a product.

04

Biotech

We invest in biotech founders building new therapeutics and platforms, and we help them plan the milestones that make each funding round possible.

05

AI Infrastructure

We back the teams building the compute, data, and tooling layer other AI companies depend on. We don't fund foundation models directly, we back the layer built around them.

06

AI Application Layer

We invest in founders building products on top of existing AI models, and we help them find a defensible position as the underlying models keep changing. Being useful today does not guarantee being useful once the model layer moves again, and we work with founders on that risk directly.

07

Fintech

We back founders rebuilding financial products and infrastructure, and we work with them on regulatory strategy and early distribution.

Our model

Smart money, applied every week

A check from Luty Capital, INC. comes with a standing weekly working session with the founder and the operating team. We work on six things:

Strategy

Setting priorities and testing them against real data, not opinion.

Product design

Building the product with the founder, not reviewing it after the fact.

Product-market fit

Running the search for fit as a structured process, with a clear read on what's working and what isn't.

Software and agentic AI development

Building alongside the team's engineers, so a founder can run a lean team and still ship at a pace that once required hiring for it.

Founder leadership

Working directly with the founder on the decisions and habits that scale with the company.

Organizational culture

Building the practices that hold a team together as it grows.

We adjust our involvement to the stage of the company. A founder with early signs of traction gets a different kind of week than one who is past seed and hiring a first sales team.

Network

A base in Silicon Valley, open to founders anywhere in the Americas

We are based in Silicon Valley and built our network there over years of operating and investing. A founder working with us gets direct introductions into that network: other investors, operators who have solved the same problem before, and advisors specialists in the sector they're building in.

This matters most for founders who are not already in the Bay Area. With so much of today's capital and attention concentrated around a small number of companies, a direct relationship into this network counts for more than it used to. Our work is to close that distance, not to require a founder to relocate to benefit from it.
